Santa Fe Soul Art

As a part of our Soul expression, my friends, students and I have all found a passion for different forms of art.

We all live in Santa Fe, in the "La Tierra Encantado" or the Land of Enchantment.

Santa Fe is known for its art, food and for the incredible high desert sunsets. Our summers are filled with bright, vibrant days and the most colorful sunsets I've ever seen. The colors in our sunsets are symbolic of new opportunities, new horizons beyond anything we may have thought possible.

Just like our incredible sunsets, Santa Fe has offered each artist here a new vista of opportunities in their lives beyond anything imaginable.

And this is the energy in which our Soul art is created and expressed!

About the Artists
Kalyn B Raphael

New Mexico is known as the land of enchantment. As an artist, Kalyn has found great enchantment even in the Santa Fe skies over her home. The red dirt, breathtaking skies and colorful sunsets all represent new opportunities in the horizon. Whether it was new opportunities for settlers in the past or new opportunities today, Kalyn's art captures the essence of new horizons to expand and enchanting life.

Halle Treanor

Halle has been an avid photographer since she was seven.  Her hobbies include painting, pottery, photography, travel, and belly dancing.  She loves to capture the beauty and uniqueness of each place she travels to in her photos.  She believes in the power of both making and viewing art to heal and soothe the soul.

Halle has studied art and art therapy at San Diego State University, Packard Art Studio in Los Altos, California, and Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California.  Currently she is studying pottery at Santa Fe Clay in Santa Fe, New Mexico.  Halle has shown and sold her artwork through various exhibitions over the past several years.

Halle lives in Santa Fe, NM with friends, her friends’ pets and a plethora of art and photo supplies.

Makayla Sadamori

Makayla was born in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria . At the age of 24 she moved to Japan which has been her adoptive country ever since.

Growing up in a country with centuries old traditions in ceramics created in Makayla a deep appreciation for traditional pottery designs and she saw them as an indispensable component in creating a lively and inviting atmosphere at her home and table. She was pleasantly surprised to see the Japanese people had the same great appreciation for the beauty and quality hand made pottery could bring to our life. She was soon captivated by the simplicity and harmony of traditional Japanese pottery which fired her desire to create pieces of her own.

Makayla’s passion is in creating ceramics that are both an object of art and at the same time can be used in everyday life to enhance its quality and enjoyment. In her work she uses only natural clays and glazes so her pieces carry the warm and gentle colors of Nature. Mixing traditional Japanese techniques with Western designs she creates pieces that fit well in a Western home while bringing into it a distinctive Oriental flavor

Jessica Gardener

Jessica lives in Santa Fe, with her little dog Austin. She is currently in school to follow her love of Landscape Architecture. She never knew she was in love with the landscape until she moved to the desert, and that’s where it bloomed. Some of her creative interests include fiber arts; hand spinning, weaving, and knitting, as well as creating with pottery, and sharing the beauty of the landscape through her photography.
